Mis Piensamientos Sobre La Segunda Semana

Another week down, amazingly. Although in my first few days, i was dreading making the decision to stay for 3 months (it seemed so long!), now i´m glad i´m here for 12 weeks. 2 weeks have already flown by and my future weekend plans are getting pretty packed.

thoughts about my second week:

1. still loving my school (especially my teacher this week, i requested to continue with her for next week). there are tons of schools here, but i really feel mine is uniquely special.

2. excited that my spanish seems to be improving little by little each day (estoy emocionada que mi espanol siente mejor poco un poco cada dia...?). although, i did make a boo-boo when talking to my guate family about my experience at church. apparently i used the worst word possible when explaining my thoughts on the priest. For those of you who know spanish, the word for priest is sacerdote. i used a word very similiar to that... i´ll let you use your imagination.

3. discovered the most delicious fruit in the world. i can´t remember the name, but it´s like an avocado on the outside and like sweet potato pie on the inside. it...is...amazing.

4. had a crazy small world experience when i met 2 guys from dallas here, one being the manager of ¨the other vegetarian restaurant¨in dallas.

5. super excited to learn that a friend from home will be visiting in about a month! woo hoo!
