Center of Positive Energy in the Universe

this week is full of more of the same: more irregular verbs than i can shake a stick at, more pan (bread) than a human should really consume, and more activities designed to inspire, amaze, and push my limits both mentally and physically.

amongst el preterito tiempo, adjetivos posesivos enfaticos (i don´t even know what those are in english!), and social outreach vocab en espaƱol, i have some interesting trips planned.

1. attend ash wednes mass in the catadral here, where i´ll surely be the tallest person there... again
2. head out to the semana santa open-air market and try some atol (traditional corn drink), tortillas de trigo (whole wheat torts), and recado (the guate version of mole)
3. hear a testimony from an indigenous comadrona (midwife) from the resistance army
4. take a salsa dance class
5. hike up Chicobal, a dormant volcano that has cratered in on itself, forming a natural lagoon at the top. For the Mayan people, it is considered the Center of Positive Energy in the Universe. I guess I can get out of bed at 6:30am to go there... :)

I´ll definitely post pics of Positive Energy Central soon.
